Our Heart for Kingdom

For 70 years, we've stood on the shoulders of giants. People who had a vision for the future and decided to give and sacrifice so we could be here today. They had unwavering faith, believing their generosity would spark something eternal.

Now, it's our turn. This isn't just about Encompass Church, it's about redefining generosity and transforming lives. Imagine a movement so bold, so full of faith, that it ignites revival, uplifts communities, and spreads Jesus' light where it's needed most. Generosity is a game-changer. It fuels our mission, expands our reach, and impacts lives in ways beyond our imagination. When we step out in faith, big things happen. Picture this: Bibles in the hands of those who've never had one. Food for the hungry, care for widows, Missionaries bringing hope to the nations. Churches are being built in places where none Jesus. Our church thriving, reaching further than ever before. THIS is the impact of radical generosity!

This is our moment. Will you jump in? We pray that Christ will stir your hearts, just as He has done in many before us.

Exodus 35:21 says "All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their offerings to the Lord"

It's our time now – to give, to sacrifice, to change the world together!

F.A.Q

This was changed for the benefit of our givers. It was done to streamline giving and was the best fit for tax-deductible clarity and purpose. We believe the Trust is the best way to manage this, over and above general giving.

You don't have to, but it would be helpful if you updated us yearly on your commitment, as this allows our team to forecast and make decisions accordingly. It also gives you the chance to take it to God and revisit your generosity.

Obviously that was disappointing, but we're also aware that people are on their own journeys. We're encouraged by the total engagement of the church, the heart and posture of the people. And now we bring it to God to bring the increase. We're also pleased that all mission-committed projects were met.

GIVING TO THE VISION

Yes. We can confirm that tax deductible giving is now available through our charitable giving option. We also offer a non tax deductible giving option for those who would prefer their contribution to support areas that do not qualify for tax deductible status. When giving, simply select the option that best aligns with your preference.

Mission projects are prayerfully considered and selected based on alignment with our vision, the needs of the community, and the opportunity to make a meaningful Kingdom impact through trusted partnerships both locally and globally.

We undertake due diligence when selecting mission projects and partners to ensure they align with our values, meet appropriate requirements, and that funds are used responsibly and effectively.

Not at this stage. For Encompass to fulfil all that God is calling us to do, we must move together as one united church. Designating funds only to specific campuses or projects would limit the impact and efficiency of our vision.

HOW & WHAT TO GIVE

We're exploring a few promising options. However, to move forward confidently, we need a stronger cash base.

Absolutely. While we give collectively, each campus's progress will be tracked and celebrated. Ownership builds maturity and momentum.

Either works! Some prefer to give all at once, others give monthly or both. While upfront giving helps us move quicker, we'll work with whatever God leads you to contribute.

No. Tithing is separate and foundational—our first fruits to God. The Kingdom Offering is above and beyond the tithe, a faith-filled expression of generosity and vision.

Absolutely. We understand life happens. If your financial circumstances change, you can adjust your commitment at any time. What matters most is the heart behind your giving.

Yes. We welcome corporate giving, and our team can assist with any specific accounting or tax-related questions to ensure everything is handled properly.

Yes, you can give securely online via our website or app. You can also set up recurring giving, or contribute through EFT, card, or in person during services.

Yes, anonymous giving is possible. While donations are tracked for record keeping and transparency purposes, your identity can remain confidential if you choose. Giving via BPAY allows you to remain anonymous, as we do not receive the donor's personal details unless you provide them to us in writing.

No pastors will know individual giving. Only a small, trusted team from our business office handles contributions, ensuring privacy and integrity.

FINANCES, DEBT & PROGRESS

Possibly. The more we raise upfront, the less debt we need. If needed, we're committed to wise, sustainable borrowing, only when:

  • It doesn't put undue pressure on the church.
  • It can be repaid within 7–10 years.
  • We can make full payments from the start.

We currently have the capacity to manage a loan of up to $5–6 million.

We will only consider loans based on having 30–50% of the cash up front for the total project.

We're believing for 10% growth in generosity each year, something we've seen consistently in our tithes. Generosity is like a muscle: we grow as we exercise it. Step by step, year by year.

Not exactly. Some may feel led to give more annually. Others might give spontaneously, based on God's prompting and personal circumstances. God stirs hearts differently, at different times.

Praise God! That would mean we give more generously than planned, and we're in a stronger position for future facilities.

Historically, the Encompass community has shown its faithfulness to God and the vision. When the Global Financial Crisis took place, congregation members didn't waver. God moved powerfully through people's faith. We believe He'll do it again, even in challenging times.

We'll use a model called PLAN – VISION – DREAM.

PLAN: What can I give? What could I give up? What is God asking of me?
VISION: If God blesses my finances, how could I give more?
DREAM: One day, I'd love to give this much to the Kingdom Offering.

We'll engage every generation, teach on generosity, and report on the impact of every step forward.

We will provide regular updates through services, emails, and reports. You'll see where the funds are going and the real impact being made, locally and globally.
